Spring Cleaning Out My Closet – BB Cream Battle

Hi everyone 🙂

I took a week off from blogging, because it’s vacation for me and I wanted to relax a little 😉 But no worries, I’m back !!! To lighten my load a little I’ll try to post a new blog piece every 2 days, instead of almost every day. Blogging every day is hard when you are juggling your time between blogging, studying, doing a full household and a boyfriend 🙂

Anyway, last week I did do some preparations for today. My bathroom closet isn’t only overflowing with shower gels, it’s also full of make up products. Some of those are buys I regret making. So I needed to get sorting stuff out. I already chucked a lot of old and not loved stuff out and I’m left with stuff I wasn’t sure about if I wanted to keep it or not. Because I can’t make up my mind about some, I would like you to help me out a little. Others see more than you do yourself 🙂

I present you my little BB-cream / tinted moisturizer collection. It has already been thinned out a couple of times and this is what I’m left with.

There is 14 of them all together. Korean and European … All needing to be tried again to see if they actually fit me well or not.

I’ve tested then in pairs, like a little battle between two different products :p For good measure I only did the left half of my face, so you can see the effect. I also didn’t powder off any of the creams. I do apologize for the weird facial expressions I’m having in all the pics. I just was looking into a mirror to see if my head was fully in the picture (lol) I think I should mention that I have oily skin and also dry skin. It’s a combination of the two. In the morning I’m more dry and in the evening I’m pretty oily.

These are my only two remaining Holika Holika BB-creams. I had about 10 of them I think (oops 😮 ) The Aqua Petit Jelly BB I enjoyed wearing in the past. It’s has a jelly type of consistency and it changes into a water like texture when you apply it. The Petit BB (Shimmering) has a normal liquid texture and gives a different finish.

I think both fit me quite well. The Petit BB make me look a bit more grey, but it has a nice glow to it. I don’t know if I can wear it when I’m having a greasy day. I think this battle is a tie.

Next up is a stand off between the well known Korean Super + BB (hot pink) by SKIN79 and the European Miracle Skin Perfector BB cream by Garnier. I got the Garnier in a box, so I didn’t really had the chance to make it fit my skin, but it’s for light skin.

I already know that the Garnier one is to dark for me. If I would do my whole face I would look pretty orange, so that one goes into a sale. The SKIN79 BB cream makes me look a little bit lighter than I am and makes me look a little cake-y. I’m considering chucking it out as well.

These two aren’t BB creams, they are tinted moisturizers. Still they need to be tested and why not against each other. I know that the Essence one isn’t sold anymore, but I had this tube lying around. The Plante System I got in a box, so no choice of color on that one.

As you see the Plante System one is waaaay to dark for me. It looks like I had a self tanning accident or something like that. There is no chance i’m keeping that one. I love how the Essence one looks. It evens out my skin tone and it looks super natural. Essence won this battle !!!

Yves Rocher Peau Parfaite is one of the last BB creams I bought and I had a double feeling about it when I tried it out for the first time. I didn’t use it since, so I’m curious if I will like it this time. Skinfood Good Afternoon Berry Berry Tea BB is one of the few out of this series had.

The Yves Rocher gives me a more natural look, it doesn’t make me look as grey as the Skinfood one. The Skinfood one is going into a sale 😉 I do like the Yves Rocher better than I did the first time 🙂

I never thought I would be able to do another battle between two BB creams of the same brand. I found both of these on Ebay last summer. Beauty Angel is a less well known Korean brand.

I have a double feeling about both of them. They make me look white, but that can be mended with a little bronzer. The BB Magic Cream is a little more cake-y to me. I’m keeping both to see how the wear is over the course of a whole day.

These are also two BB creams I found on Ebay. They were cheap and very light in colour.

UBUB BB Cream

Both make me look very white, but I like the UBUB one best. I don’t know whether to throw both out or try them for a whole day.

I can’t do a battle with this one because it’s the only CC cream I have. The Loréal Nude Magique CC Cream should become the colour of my skin.

It’s not really evening out my skin tone as i would like. I still see a little redness on my cheek. I wore this CC cream for a whole day before and it oxidizes pretty fast, so I become to dark very soon. 😦 This one is going … bye bye !!!

Last one (I promise) It’s the Holika Holika Strawberry Pore Cover BB Pact. It’s the only BB compact I have.

It makes my face look very matte. I know that’s because it’t a powder, but It looks good on me. I’m keeping this one 😉

So that were all 14 BB creams / tinted moisturizers that I still had. I’ll be testing all keepers out for a whole day, with make up on and all, so I can see if they hold up and to see how they oxidize.

I already made up my mind about some, but I would love to get some feedback from you all. Thank you in advance !!!
