Helping troubled skin – Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Cleansing & Toning Lotion

Hi you all ^^

You all now that I have troubled skin. I’m waaaay past my puberty, but I sometimes got skin of someone who still is in puberty. You know, pimples, white heads, lots of blackheads and dry itchy spots. After I discovered the Boots Tea Tree & Witch Hazel line, I felt like I was saved from all the nasties that are troubling me πŸ™‚ Ofcourse I still have little break outs when it’s that time of the month and my hormones are trough the roof, but that’s normal.

I found this Cleansing & Toning Lotion does a great job. It removes dirty things from my skin and keeps the pimples, red spots and most of the blackheads away. There is however a lot of alcohol in it that dries out my skin. I already have dry / dehydrated skin and I don’t need something that dries it out more. Don’t get me wrong, it does do the job like it should πŸ˜‰

The liquid is yellowish in colour and it had a strong alcohol and tea tree smell. A little overpowering when you don’t like harsh / strong smells. 😦 I can’t use it when I have a migraine, because it make me feel sick. When I’m not hurting, it’s fine.

By now I’ve used half the bottle and I don’t use it on my whole face anymore. Because of the alcohol it can’t be used on the eyes and I dry out to much from it. So I only use it for spot treating pimples, red spots and blackheads.

I’ll be searching for a less harsh and drying toner / miscellar water. I already have some here to test and I’ll be back on the subject to tell you all about them ^^

What is your favorite toner / make up remover water ?

Be Happy !!!

Very interesting, I have an issue with those pesky blackheads on my nose so I’ll have to take a look into this 😊

The Homestead Company makes an AMAZING alcohol free witch hazel toner with camomile. There are three ingredients and it’s just lovely. Very gentle might I add.
